I reached a crossroads, so to speak, after the trek to California and back. I knew the car was mechanically sound. Actually, knowing the fanaticism of Karl and Neil, I knew the car was better than new. I had an adventure under my belt, one that probably would not be repeated anytime soon.

I had spent more than two years restoring the insides of the car, and I had made the trip of a lifetime. Now what? Well, that turned out to be an easy answer - finish the job.

I knew I had a great car, but it hadn't fared that well in competition. Not that I was that much of a competitive sport, but one does want something to show for the effort! Although Karl had redone the leather prior to the trip to California, the 'forest' of wood inside the car as well as the paint outside needed help.

And so I decided to finish what I had started by having the car painted to concourse standards, the exterior rechromed, and the wood refinished to better than original condition.

Upon the recommendation fo KHM and others, I chose Extreme Motorsports Painting , Charger Metal Works, and Heritage Woodworks to finish the job... The photos below (click on each to enlarge) are the testament to these craftsmen's work.

Note: The last six pictures are pre-paint/interior restoration, but they are quite nice, nonetheless.

If you would like more information on this restoration or if you have any questions, I will be happy to try to answer them. Please email me at gerrett@intl-m-100group.org. Thank you.
